Royal British Legion Poppy appeal
We are proud to support the launch of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal for 2017 and encourage everyone to support the appeal in the coming weeks.
Many of us will be attending Remembrance events, wearing our poppies with pride and remembering our Armed Forces, past and present. This year we are particularly remembering those who lost their lives during the Battle of Passchendaele 100 years ago.
The Royal British Legion, including our branches in Dover, Deal, Sandwich and Staple, not only organise and support Remembrance events but carry out vital work to help our Armed Forces community.
Please support them and their wonderful army of Poppy Appeal Volunteers.
This year, we are also encouraging people to support our Knitted Poppy Appeal. In partnership with the Royal British Legion, and Dover Arts Development and Dover Big Local, we are inviting people to send in knitted or crocheted poppies to help us create a display in the run up to Remembrance Day.
