Recycling and Waste Collection Day Changes
To allow us to work smarter and greener, Dover District Council and Veolia are working together to make your collections more streamlined and reliable. The new and efficient routes have been designed to be more environmentally friendly, with new vehicles emitting fewer harmful emissions.
From 12 April, your collection day and week may change
What is changing on 12 April?
There are a number of changes that could affect your collections:
Day Change: you may experience a change in collection day. The frequency and pattern of
your collections will remain the same.
Week Change: you may experience a change in your collection week. This means that if you
receive alternating collections of recycling and refuse, you may receive either two recycling or
two refuse collections in a row. The pattern will then return to normal.
Time Change: you are likely to experience a change in the time that your bins are collected
even if your day or week does not change. Please present your containers by 7am on your day
of collection each week.
Please note, some residents may experience both a day and a week change. There will be no
changes to your containers, or the materials that can be collected in each container.
When will I find out what is changing for me?
You will shortly be receiving an updated collection calendar with further information including
advice on using your services. Please read this carefully as this will inform you of the changes
to collections at your property.
