Building Support - Community-Led Housing Mini Conference On Friday 15 November

Do you want to find out more about community-led housing – a free Community-Led Housing Mini Conference is being held at the Dover District Council offices in Whitfield on Friday 15 November from 1pm to 6pm.

The event is being run by Dover District Council, and follows the success of the Community-Led Housing and Self-Build Conference in June, organised by East Kent Local Authorities, and last year’s conference organised by DDC.

The event aims to provide help for community groups and individuals to progress ideas for community-led housing. It includes an introduction to what community-led housing is and what the benefits are to the local community, as well as information on funding and grant options, and a presentation from Bunker Housing Co-operative, which has delivered a successful project in East Sussex.

This is part of our ongoing work to provide information and support for local community-led housing projects, to help develop a range of housing solutions for the future. Anyone who is interested in community-led housing is welcome to attend.

The event is free to attend, but places need to be booked in advance. For more information, or to book a place, please see the community-led housing training and events pages.
