In response to the recent bad weather, Dover District Council wants to help ensure that its residents and businesses are ready for the winter months.

A wide range of information about all things winter-related is available via the campaign web page www.dover.gov.uk/winter

The campaign will also include regular social media posts to help ensure that residents are kept up- to-date with all the latest winter advice and information. Extreme weather can bring extra challenges for our residents, and this useful advice gives tips on how to plan for, and what to do in the event of, an emergency, keeping healthy, driving safely and looking out for our neighbours.

Chief Executive of Dover District Council, Nadeem Aziz, said: “The sudden onset of severe winter weather can take us all by surprise, with the potential to affect our health and wellbeing, as well as having an impact on our homes and local roads. We can all take some simple steps to prepare for winter, and any potential emergency such as flooding, by following this useful advice.”
