Dover District Lotto Networking Event_

Do you want to find out more about raising money for your good cause - Dover District Lotto is inviting local groups to come along to find out more about being part of our success story at the Astor Theatre in Deal from 6pm-8.30pm on 19 February.

The event is being held as Dover District Lotto celebrates its first year anniversary and welcomes news that it has raised more than £40,000 for local good causes!

The Networking Event has been arranged by Dover District Council’s Community Services team to give local groups the chance to hear from some of our top performing good causes and learn more about raising money with Dover District Lotto.

Successful groups include Dover Sharks Rugby Football Club, who said: “Through the Dover District Lotto we managed to raise over one and a half thousand pounds last year.  We are delighted to talk about our success and help inspire others to unlock their fundraising potential.”

Dover District Lotto was set up in 2019 by Dover District Council.  For every £1 spent on the Dover District Lotto, 60p goes to local causes.  There is no cost to local groups for taking part.

Cllr MJ Holloway, DDC Cabinet Member for Community, said: “We are delighted at the success of the Dover District Lotto and that local causes have benefitted from more than £40,000.  With 60p in every £1 going direct to local causes, it’s providing a regular income stream for them that’s making a real difference in the local community. We hope that any groups who are interested in finding out more come along to the event, to meet other applicants, find out more about this great community scheme, and help us celebrate some of our district’s best performing good causes.”
