Forward Futures was a pilot project working to support individuals affected by street drinking in Dover, initiated by Dover District Council, delivered by Forward Trust and supported by Dover Community Safety Partnership.
The project was a collaborative initiative dedicated to reducing the harms associated with street drinking in Dover, we aim to improve individual wellbeing, reduce pressure on emergency services, and foster safer, more resilient communities. We are committed to identifying unmet needs, breaking down barriers to recovery, and delivering measurable outcomes that support long-term change.
Through dedicated outreach and strong local partnerships, the pilot aimed to reduce harm, improve lives, and create a safer, more connected town for everyone. By offering practical help and pathways to recovery, the scheme gave every person the chance to move forward with dignity and hope.

Forward Trust have a range of support avaliable locally, for those affected by drugs or alcohol.

The Forward Futures pilot project is funded by Public Health England, led by Dover District Council, delivered by Forward Trust which ran from October 2025 to 31st March 2026.
