What is the Forward Futures project?

Forward Futures is a pilot project working to support individuals affected by street drinking in Dover, initiated by Dover District Council, delivered by Forward Trust and supported by Dover Community Safety Partnership.Through dedicated outreach and strong local partnerships, we aim to reduce harm, improve lives, and create a safer, more connected town for everyone. By offering practical help and pathways to recovery, we’re building a future where every person has the chance to move forward with dignity and hope.

The project is a collaborative initiative dedicated to reducing the harms associated with street drinking in Dover, we aim to improve individual wellbeing, reduce pressure on emergency services, and foster safer, more resilient communities. We are committed to identifying unmet needs, breaking down barriers to recovery, and delivering measurable outcomes that support long-term change.

Forward Futures navigators will support individuals, listens to needs, and connect individuals with services that can make lasting change possible. Whether it’s finding treatment, housing, or simply someone to talk to, we’re committed to helping  those affected move forward, one step at a time.
