Request

  1. In the last year, how many council-managed off-street car parks were there in the district/borough?
  2. In the last year,  what was the council's total income from all parking revenue streams?
    1. Please can this be broken down into off-street fees/permits, on-street fees/permits, and fixed penalty notices?
    2. What was the profit from all parking revenue streams (Ie net of cost)?
  3. What was the total number of fixed-penalty notices for parking offences issued by the council? (I appreciate this may be a provisional figure if some appeals are still outstanding)
  4. Please name the three car parks that generated the most income for the council and what that income was for each.
  5. In the last year, what were the top five roads/streets (not car parks) in terms of the highest number of fixed penalty notices issued? (Please give the name of the road/street and the number of FPNs issued)

Response

  1. 22
  2. This information is available on the Council’s website at Parking Statistics 2022-2023 (dover.gov.uk).
  3. 12,490.
  4. The Council’s financial system does not separate the income for each individual car park and any Ringo income is allocated to either Off Street and On Street Parking Pay and Display Accounts. Similarly, permit income is not allocated to a specific car park.  The Council therefore does not hold the information in the format you have requested.
