Dover District Council Holds First Remote Annual Meeting

 

Dover District Council held its first ever remote Annual Meeting yesterday, (22 July) - and members elected Cllr Michael Conolly as the Chairman and Cllr David Hannent as the Vice Chairman for 2020/21. 

In addition, the Leader of the Council and the Leader of the Opposition announced the respective Cabinet and Shadow Cabinets, which included new updated portfolios. 

In order to ensure that democratic processes continue while making sure everyone stays safe, Council Members were able to log into the meeting remotely on their computers.  Members of the public were also able to access the meeting online.
