Community Safety Partnership Day of Action
Residents, businesses and visitors are being invited to meet local community safety partners at a special Day of Action taking place in Dover town centre on Thursday 17 September from 10am to 1pm.
The event will bring together officers and staff from a wide range of partner agencies who will be based in Pencester Gardens, providing an opportunity for members of the public to speak directly with representatives from a range of services, and to find out more about the support available in the district.
Teams will be touring the town centre, visiting local businesses and inspecting public spaces to identify and address environmental concerns, safeguarding issues and other community safety matters.
The initiative is designed to strengthen partnership working and ensure that local issues are identified and responded to quickly and effectively.
Partner organisations involved include:
- Kent Police
- Kent Fire and Rescue Service
- Dover District Council departments including housing, waste, community safety and economic development
- Safeguarding officers
- Pride in Place team
- Probation Service
- Oasis Domestic Abuse Service
Lyndsey Read, Community Safety Officer, said: "The Community Safety Partnership Day of Action is an excellent opportunity for partners to come together, engage directly with the public and local businesses, and identify any issues that may be impacting the town centre. By working collaboratively, we can address concerns, improve local environments and ensure that people feel safe and supported in Dover.
