We are responsible for keeping our streets, parks and open spaces clean and safe for residents.
If you notice a location that needs attention then let us know by reporting it using the link below, providing as much information as possible. Please ensure you click on the street scene service tab at the top of the page.
Report a street that needs cleaningStreet zones and cleaning process
Streets in the district are allocated a 'zone' based on how busy they are and the frequency of cleaning relates to which zone they are in.
If a report is received of an area falling below the required standard between scheduled cleaning visits, a further visit will be made.

High speed road cleansing
Our contactors are scheduled to clean high speed roads twice a year, once in the spring and once in the autumn.
The precise dates vary from year to year and can change at short notice. This is because we are required to apply for a lane closure permit from the relevant highway authority to clean roads above 40mph, including the A20 and A2, and we can only carry out cleaning on allocated dates.
