With reference to the planning hearings for Betteshanger Country Park on 7th March 2024 for the Hotel & Spa: Planning application ref: 23/01095 Surf Lagoon: Planning application ref: 22/01158, I would like to know the reasons each of the following councillors were substituted on the planning committee for these particular hearings and the period of notice given for each substitution . Cllr Kevin Mills , Cllr David Cronk , Cllr Jeffrey Loffman, Cllr Helen Williams

- Cllr David Cronk – advised Democratic Services on 1 March that he would not be able to attend the meeting due to ill health.
- Cllr Helen Williams – Democratic Services were initially advised on 1 March that she would be substituted on grounds of predetermination. This was confirmed on 4 March.
- Cllr Jeff Loffman – Democratic Services were initially advised on 1 March that he would be substituted and this was confirmed on 4 March. The reason for Cllr Loffman’s absence/substitution is not known.
Cllr Kevin Mills is not a member of the Planning Committee.
