- To ask DDC to set out the circumstances in which it is permissible deliberately and unnecessarily to park on the public highway in front of designated parking bays between The Butchery and Harnet Street, Sandwich so as to obstruct access to the highway by vehicles parked in those bays.
- To ask DDC for what length of time is it permissible for vehicles deliberately and unnecessarily parked on the public highway in front of designated parking bays between The Butchery and Harnet Street, Sandwich to prevent access to the highway by vehicles parked in those bays.
Response
The Council has no enforcement powers under the Traffic Management Act to deal with obstruction issues. This is something that rests with the highway enforcement authority who are Kent Police. The Council therefore does not hold the information you are seeking and you will need to raise these matters with Kent Police.
