  1. The number of residential properties in Dover and Deal that are exempt from council tax due to having a room set aside in that property for prayer/religious purposes.
  2. The number of buildings other than residential that are exempt from council tax due to being used for prayer/religious purposes.
  3. A break down by each different religion, of the number of such exemptions.

Response

  1. None.  There is no provision within the Council Tax regulations for such circumstances.
  2. If relating to Business Rates, none.  For Business Rates, buildings registered for public religious worship or church halls are decided on by the Valuation Office Agency and where the qualifying criteria is met, they are removed from the Rating List.
  3. We do not hold information relating to different religions.
