  1.  In September there was new plastic coverings to the right side of the subway walking down it.  A few days later the plastic-coloured covering had been removed.  Why was the plastic covering to the wall on the right side (going down the slope) installed then removed?
  2. Was it installed badly/wrongly?
  3. Was the designed changed?
  4. Who decided what pictures/wording is to be used in the subway?
  5. Was there public consultation?
  6. Why was plastic chosen to put on the subway walls?

  1. There was a defect with the boards and so under quality control this was rejected to be replaced by the contractor.

  4. The public were asked in consultation, the theme chosen with 50% of the votes was time tunnel, (Dover and local history, air/land/sea). The Council also sought contributions from local organisations and societies to compile the information.

  6. The covering has anti-vandal coating which has been used at other venues such as football stadiums and transport hubs.
