I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information regarding temporary accommodation and social housing provision within your authority.

1. Expenditure:

Please confirm the total amount spent by the council on temporary accommodation placements within the private rented sector during the most recent full financial year.

2. Void Properties (Temporary Accommodation):

Please confirm the current number of void (unoccupied) properties that the council has within its temporary accommodation portfolio.

3. Subsidy Loss:
Please provide the total subsidy loss related to temporary accommodation for the most recent full financial year.

4. Families Awaiting Placement:
Please state the current number of families awaiting suitable temporary accommodation.

5. Empty/Decanted Properties for Regeneration:
Please provide the number of council-owned properties currently empty or decanted and awaiting regeneration or redevelopment.

2. As at 11 December there are 19 void properties.

3. Rent loss on the Council’s temporary accommodation stock has been collected in a reportable format since January 2025, therefore the total of £70k relates to Jan – Nov 2025.

4. There are no families awaiting temporary accommodation.
