Request

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am requesting any recorded information held by Dover District Council relating to reported incidents of fly-tipping at or near Betteshanger Country Park, Deal, Kent.

Specifically, please provide:

1. Confirmation of whether any fly-tipping reports, complaints, or enforcement records relating to Betteshanger Country Park were received or logged during the period 1 January 2025 to 10 January 2026.
2. Where information is held, any details that can be disclosed without breaching personal data or legal exemptions, such as:
   • the date(s) reports were received;
   • the general location referenced (e.g. Betteshanger Country Park or surrounding access points);
   • whether the report was investigated, referred, or closed, and at a high level why (for example, no evidence found, landowner responsibility, or enforcement action taken).

Response

Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act, we have established that this information is not held. This is because Dover District Council does not hold any records of reports of fly tipping incidents at Betteshanger Country Park, Deal, Kent or in the direct vicinity of the park.
