Request
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information relating to water quality monitoring and governance concerning Deal Castle Beach and the surrounding bathing waters within the Dover District. Additional Water Testing:
- Please provide copies of any internal reports, emails, decision notices, or briefing notes relating to the decision not to introduce additional water testing following the council meeting of 14 July 2025. Please provide any officer recommendations, risk assessments, or formal decision records relating to this decision.
- Please provide details of all water quality testing undertaken at Deal Castle Beach since January 2024, including: dates of sampling parameters tested results.

- Dover District Council does not undertake bathing water sampling. The Environment Agency publicise the results of their sampling conducted during the bathing water season on their website at https://environment.data.gov.uk/bwq/profiles/profile.html?_search=deal&site=ukj4204-13100
