Request
- How many parking tickets (fixed penalty notices) have been issued in the last 12 months for each of the following roads by each road please (separately)?
- When a vehicle is parked partly on the highway (pavement) and partly on private land where there are yellow lines there in force, would a parking ticket be issued or only if the vehicle is wholly parked on the pavement as part of the highway?
- There is a problem precisely like this at the junction of Folkestone Road and Approach Road therefore have any tickets been issued at this location in the last 12 months?
Response
1. The date range used is 1 March 2025 to 1 March 2026.
(a) Folkestone Road, Dover 57
(b) Elms Vale Road, Dover 31
(c) Mount Road, Dover 5
(d) Farthingloe Road, Dover Zero as there are no restrictions to enforce
(e) Markland Road, Dover 9
2. If any part of the vehicle is on the parking restriction, a PCN may be issued. Each individual situation will be assessed by the Civil Enforcement Officer when considering the risks and impacts of the parking before deciding on whether to issue or not ie width of pavement etc.
3. No.
