Please provide a list of all licensed and/or registered tattoo studios and commercial tattooing premises currently authorised to operate within your council area. For each premises, please provide: 

Name of the studio. 

Full postal address (including postcode). 

Name of the licence or registration holder, where recorded. 

Type of approval (for example, tattooing only; tattooing and cosmetic piercing; semi‑permanent skin colouring, etc.). 

The date the licence/registration was first granted and, if applicable, the date it is due for renewal or expiry.

Response

The information you have sought is attached. The name of the licence holder has been withheld from our response as this is considered personal data and therefore exempt from disclosure under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act. Personal data is defined by Article 4(1) of GDPR and also Section 3 of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the release of this data would contravene the data protection principles. Please note that any registrations issued prior to 2024 do not define the licence types, this is due to the data transfer from our old software system.
