Request

  1. There appears to be zero activity to manage beach vegetation along this route.  Could you explain why not please?
  2. There seems to be zero activity to clear up the beach boat plots especially at Deal and work is required at the plots at Walmer and Kingsdown. Can you explain this please?
  3. Please explain why missing and rotten barriers are not being replaced along Wellington Parade which puts at risk vehicles parking on public land?
  4. Why have council allowed residents parking outside a property along Wellington Parade?  Is this by license or other please?

Response

  1. The White Cliffs Countryside Partnership does one volunteer task a month clearing vegetation on the beach between Wellington parade and Deal Pier. During the winter months the focus is on Holm Oaks; on the most recent task in March the focus was on Alexanders.
  2. There has been significant clearance works undertaken to the Boat Plots. This is an ongoing project.
  3. The old demarcation boundary bollards are no longer required and will not be replaced automatically. A review will be undertaken to determine if they are required for enforcement or restricted access requirements on a need for need basis.
  4. Other, this situation is under review.
