Request
1. Supplier Database Status
Could you please confirm whether our company is currently registered on your procurement database or approved supplier list for:
• Height Safety Systems
• Access Equipment (ladders, walkways, gantries, BMUs)
• Lightning Protection Systems (LPS)
• Associated inspection, testing, and remedial services
2. Registration Process
If we are not currently registered, please could you outline:
The steps required to become an approved supplier.
Whether you operate an internal approved list or rely solely on external procurement portals.
3. Procurement Portals & Frameworks
Which procurement platform(s) does the Council use to publish opportunities?
(e.g., YORtender, ProContract, In‑Tend, Delta, or others)
Are there existing frameworks we should be aware of for height‑related compliance or specialist inspection services?
Does the Council utilise national frameworks such as CCS, Fusion21, LHC or Procurement for Housing for these service areas?
4. Future Opportunities
Are there any planned tenders, frameworks, or re‑procurements relating to height safety, access systems or lightning protection in the next 12–24 months?
Is there a point of contact or distribution list we should be added to for early engagement opportunities?
Response
1. There is a Eurosafe UK Compliance registered on the Kent Business Portal (Delta). Unfortunately, there are no other details completed that we can see. We do not operate/hold an approved supplier list in whole or against any of the categories of goods/works/services as set out above.
2. The steps required to become an approved supplier. Please go to www.kentbusinessportal.gov.uk ’select Register (top right) then follow the blue link ‘Register as a Supplier’. We do not operate an internal approved list.
3. As follows:
- Delta (see above), Find a Tender
- We are not aware of any
- Not for the area’s listed in Q1 however we have used CCS and Fusion 21 on other projects
4. As follows:
- Not that we are aware of, the procurement team are instructed (as/when required) from time to time where the requirement exceeds £15K (as set out in our CSO’S). Below these the respective service areas are free to source themselves.
- Any opportunities that are advertised will be via the Kent Business Portal (see above).
