I am writing in respect of the geographic extent of the Public Spaces Protection Order (Dover District Council) 2025 insofar as it relates to unauthorised camping.  I would like to establish whether the Dover Patrol Memorial car park and surrounding land at St Margaret’s Bay falls within the area covered by the Order.

Under FOI please provide:

1. any consultation responses relating to St Margaret’s Bay,
2. and any complaints or enforcement statistics concerning unauthorised camping in the St Margaret’s Bay area since 2022.

Response

1. We received a total of 28 responses none of which made reference to St Margarets or immediate area. 

2. As follows:

No enforcement action was taken as no Council staff in roles work overnight and vehicles had left.
