  1. You stated "a local company has been employed to carry out a full refurbishment to the metalwork, glass and paintwork".  Which company has been employed?  
  2. Was this company awarded the work as a result of tendering?  If yes, how many companies tendered and why was this one selected?
  3. Please provide copies of all communications between the chosen company and the Council relating to this work. 
  4. What is the cost/budget for this work?  
  5. What was the criteria used to determine which company was awarded the contract for example a speciality of work?  
  6. When will this work be undertaken? 
  7. Please provide a copy of the report on the condition of the tram shelter that determined the level of work that has to be done to safeguard it.

  3. Communication has been by phone call.  There was a site meeting with the contractor at the Tram shelter to discuss the scope of works.
  4. We are awaiting a quote from the contractor.  There is no current budget.
  5. Specialists in conservation and restoration works
  6. The contractor is currently in discussion with English Heritage with regards to the scope of works.
  7. There is no report.  The scope of works was determined by a visual inspection with the contractor.
