  3. How was it decided what type of art work to sponsor? Who was consulted or was it a decision by the DDC Officers?
  4. Did the Council work with third parties on this project/projects, and if so, who were they?
  5. Were elected members involved in these projects or only officers? 

Response

  1. Two murals - 13 Cannon Street (Kebab shop) and 14 Priory Road (Angling Club)
  2. Total of £7k from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund
  3. Suggested by officers following speaking with businesses and visitors to the town, supported by Council Leader.
  4. Collaboration between Dover District Council, Dover Town Council and the Port of Dover.  Future Foundry were employed as Project Manager and procured artists. Final selection made by all partners.
  5. Leader of the Council supported the project
