Response

  1. This is covered by the Terms and Conditions of the Tenancy (paragraph 3.8) which can be found on the Council’s website at your-tenancy-agreement.pdf.
  2. Property surveys including garden inspections are conducted during initial sign up, 6 weeks after tenancy started, 9 months after tenancy started and during any routine audit inspection.
  3. The Council has no policy in respect of bamboo.
  4. The last audit inspection was carried out in October 2023. The audit at this time did not cover a garden inspection, however this was covered under the question “What is the overall condition of the property?”. No comment was made concerning the condition of the garden on this report.
  5. The Council must comply with the UK GDPR principle of purpose limitation. This means that personal data collected and used for one purpose should not normally be used for a different purpose unless there is an appropriate lawful basis for doing so, and the new use is compatible with the original reason the information was collected, or another legal provision permits its use. The Council's Data Protection Policy aligns with these requirements.
