Consultation on proposed change to the Housing Management Team

The Housing Service has recently undergone a review of its Housing Management Team, and we are now proposing to make a change to the way we manage our tenancies and neighbourhoods.

The purpose of the review and change is to improve the service we provide to you, making it more resilient, supportive and reliable.

About the proposed change

We are proposing to move to a neighbourhood management approach, which would see five neighbourhood teams, each consisting of five specialist Officers, managing a patch of Council properties within their designated area. The key benefits will be:

  • You will have named officers to deal with in relation to your specific issues
  • There will be more frontline staff available to deal with your queries
  • There will be more resilience during periods of staff absence
  • There will be more visibility of Officers out on our estates and neighbourhoods

The proposed change will have no additional cost to you.

 Tell us what you think

As part of this process, we want to consult you on your thoughts and perceptions on the proposed change, giving you the opportunity feedback and inform the outcome.

The survey will be open until 23:59 on 18 January 2026. Your feedback will be reviewed once the consultation has closed.
