Play Areas, MUGAs and Skate Parks

Keep Me Posted Leisure and Recreation email updates.

Latest update:

We are reopening our play areas from Saturday 11 July.

Our play areas have been regularly monitored for safety, and we have been completing a full cleaning programme, in keeping with the latest government guidance.

Please remember to wash your hands regularly, keep a safe distance from others, and follow all safety advice at the park.

See posters at the park for specific safety advice, including:

  • Details of the maximum number of adults and children allowed in the whole play area at any one time
  • Maximum of 2 children using each piece of play equipment
  • Only one parent or guardian or carer should accompany a child on any one piece of equipment at a time.
  • Please ensure you and your child wash your hands before and after use of the play area. If there are no toilets nearby, please bring and use your own hand sanitiser gel.
  • Details of the nearest public toilets
  • You and your child must not  put your mouths on the equipment.    You and your child must try not to put your hands in your mouth or touch your face
  • If you or your child cough or sneeze use a tissue  or the crook of your arm
  • You and your child must respect social distancing.
