Completed Play Projects in 2016
Children are enjoying new look play areas in William Pitt Avenue and Wilson Avenue in Deal, following a £129k investment in new facilities at the sites.
New equipment includes basket and toddler swings, and themed multi play units, including sliding and climbing features, spinning wheel roundabouts, and a range of other items. A set of portable football goals have also been installed on the fields at William Pitt Avenue.
The new equipment follows consultation undertaken by Dover District council and East Kent Housing to find out what type of facilities the community wanted, and follow up surveys on design options.
There is also a new look to the play facility at Pencester Gardens in Dover, with new safety surfacing and a set of cradle swings installed.
These play zone works complement a range of improvements that have taken place in the district, including the recent opening of a brand new play facility at North Deal in May 2016.
