Personal Licences

A personal licence is required by anyone authorising the sale of alcohol from a licensed premises.  All licensed premises must have an allocated personal licence holder, known as the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). The DPS must authorise every sale of alcohol.

Before you apply you will need to pass the 'Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders' qualification. This is available from:

Apply for a personal licence

Personal licence holders must:

• be over the age of 18 years
• not have been convicted of any relevant offence (to prove this you must have a Basic Disclosure check carried out less than a month before the application is made)
• not have been convicted of any relevant foreign offence
• pay the relevant fee - currently £37
  
  Apply for a personal licence

To apply for a personal licence online you will now need to register and log into our new Resident and Customer portal. Once logged in please select 'Licensing' and 'Personal Licence, New application' from the menu.  You will be able to make the £37.00 on the portal. 

Request a replacement Personal Licence

To request a replacement licence you will now need to register and log into our new Resident and Customer portal. Once logged in please select 'Requests' and select the relevant option from the dropdown box.  You will be able to make the £10.50 on the portal.
