Please could you provide me with copies of Cllr Mills' official diary or diaries (electronic, paper etc) for the past four months.

Please note that all personal data has been redacted from this document as this information is exempt from disclosure under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act.  Personal data is defined by Article 4(1) of GDPR and also Section 3 of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the release of this data would contravene the data protection principle.

Internal Review Request:

I am aware that the Information Commissioner's Office does not take kindly to such "blankets"as you gave provided me with in the FOI response below . Senior public-facing officers can and should be identified. The definition of senior is Head of Department/Head of Service and above and certainly would include DDC Directors. I suspect that many of Kevin Mills' meetings were with such senior staff. Also, job titles should not be redacted. If meetings are with elected officials, they should be named.

You originally sought a copy of Councillor Mills' official diary for the past four months.   This was provided in redacted form due to the application of the exemption under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act which relates to personal data.  The names of staff working in a public authority is personal data as defined by Article 4(1) of GDPR and Section 3 of the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018.  However, having reviewed the legislation and further guidance I believe a more senior employee, who has greater responsibility, would have the expectation that their names would be disclosed.  Therefore, the information previously provided to you has been revised and redacted based on the level of seniority of the officers named.  The majority of the original redactions relate mainly to junior members of staff who have set the meetings up.
