This site is being developed for new Council housing providing 16 studio flats.
 
The new homes will be let at social rents and will provide interim housing for local people facing homelessness. The project forms part of the Council’s commitment to develop its own interim housing to reduce the reliance on B&B accommodation.
 
The external walls and roofs of the two residential blocks are now complete with the internal partitions currently under construction. Internal fitting out of the building will continue over the next few weeks.
 
 
Completion expected in Autumn 2022

The site at Whitfield will provide 26 new affordable homes for local people.

The development will be a mix of homes comprising 1 and 2 bedroom flats, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses and one 5 bedroom house which has been designed to provide accommodation for a family who have some additional needs.

Construction of the properties has progressed well with the external shells of the buildings almost complete and the internal areas at various stages of construction across the site. Over the next few weeks the external landscaping, including construction of the garden walls and fencing will commence.

Completion expected Autumn 2022.
