This plot of unused land is being developed for new Council housing providing a pair of 3 bedroom semi-detached family homes and will be let at affordable rents to local people.
On-site development began with the clearning of thr site on 26 September 2022. Foundations have been completed and the brickwork is progressing to the 1st floor level.
Completion expected in Spring/Summer 2023

Planning app reference number: DOV/20/00187 This site is being developed for new Council housing providing 16 studio flats. The new homes will be let at social rents and will provide interim housing for local people facing homelessness. The project forms part of the Council’s commitment to develop its own interim housing to reduce the reliance on B&B accommodation. The site is now coming to completion stage. Minor finishing works taking place and interior finishes to all flats and laundry room completed to a high standard. Completion expected in early 2023

The site at Whitfield will provide 26 new affordable homes for local people.
The development will be a mix of homes comprising 1 and 2 bedroom flats, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses and one 5 bedroom house which has been designed to provide accommodation for a family who have some additional needs. Two of the 1-bedroom flats will provide wheelchair access.
Construction of the properties continues to progress well, with many of the buildings now at final decoration stage. External landscaping, including construction of the garden walls and fencing is almost at completion stage.
Completion expected early 2023.
