All social housing landlords are required to appoint a designated health and safety lead. We have assigned this to Peter Francis, our head of HR, health and safety, corporate PR and communications.
The lead’s function is to:
- monitor our compliance with housing health and safety requirements
- assess our risk of failing to comply with the requirements
- notify the Regulator of Social Housing of any risks or failures to comply
- advise us how to address risk and failures to comply.
The health and safety lead is not:
- responsible for our compliance with housing health and safety requirements
- liable for a failure by us to comply with the requirements.
