Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the timetable for the production of local development documents for the next three years. This includes Local Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents, which make up the Development Plan for the district.

It is a legal requirement and, as such, it is important it is kept up-to-date to reflect the progress and keep residents and key stakeholders informed.

The most recent LDS was adopted in March 2025 and can be viewed below.

An update to our LDS was issued in the 2024/25 Authority Monitoring Report, revising the timetable for the production of key documents.
