We provide communal bin collections for properties that share waste and recycling facilities, such as flats, houses of multiple occupancy (shared houses) and retirement homes.
All sites are different and exactly what service is provided will depend on the space and access available. We work out what bins are required at each property and advise on this.
We offer the following bins at the prices seen below:
| Type | Description | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Refuse | 1100 litre refuse bin | £377 |
| Refuse | 660 litre refuse bin | £336 |
| Recycling | 360 litre recycling bin | £101.50 |
| Paper/card | 360 litre paper/card bin | £101.50 |
| Food | 140 litre food bin | £51.25 |
All containers must be supplied by Dover District Council, containers ordered via an external source will not be collected by our contractors.
Order bins or report an issueRecycling and general rubbish
Residents in communal properties should manage their waste by separating their recyclables, food and paper/card.
It is down to each resident to separate their waste correctly to ensure it can be collected successfully. Contaminated recycling will not be collected.

Contaminated recycling
Recycling will not be collected if it is mixed with things that cannot be recycled. This includes:
- black sacks
- soft plastics including bags
- electrical waste
- nappy waste
It is your responsibility to remove any contamination from your recycling bin. If the bins are contaminated, the contractor won’t return until your next scheduled collection.
You will need to liaise with your managing agent/landlord/housing association to resolve the issue.
